NO referance, overall i don't believe in direct referance. I try to log everything into my brain. Otherwise i look at pictures just before a piece but never while i'm doing it unless i start to struggle. Thanks for your comments

ahh yes as far as the wings go the creature is designed to be a riding mount that has the ability to glide accross ravines but not fly.

Really cute, and very well done. Also, to what dean kuhta said, the wings would be small but it immediately reminded me of a colt, or a fawn, with long legs, along with the large head gave me the impression he was fairly young, so it seemed natural to me he'd have small wings as well.
